2008-11-23 [Linn Scarlett]: I pulled it from Fenrir Greyback, whom J.K. nodoubtly pulled it from norse mythology as she cleverly did with so many characters (Lucius Malfoy, Arthur Weasely...)

You'd be surprised how often I pull names from thin air that later turn out to be shared by similar characters or creatures. It's annoying. But as I said, it's fan art of Greyback so on the one side it has nothing to do with the Fenris wolf, and on the other side it has everything to do with him. Whot with Fen being the most notorious werewolf in the series :3

Fenrir is indeed the werewolf that bit Lupin because his dad pissed Voldemort off. He gets a sick pleasure out of turning children -and eating them I heard. Enfin, I like him particularly much because he's wacko and unconventional compared to the goodietoshoes *chokes* such as Harry and co. I also have a thing for the werewolf Ministry Executioner Walden MacNair but he's even more obscure than Fenrir, so I won't hold it against you guys if you don't know who it is :P
